College Leadership Team


Chris Ryan, College Principal

Chris has thirty years of experience as a teacher working with boys in Catholic schools in the Edmund Rice tradition. He is married to Louise and is the proud father of three young women. Chris was educated in Toowoomba by the Good Samaritan Sisters and Christian Brothers and has held the senior leadership team positions of Dean of Students and Dean of Identity at St Joseph's Nudgee College and Dean of Identity, Deputy Principal and Acting College Principal at St Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace. He holds a Master of Educational Leadership from the Australian Catholic University and a Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Education from the Queensland University of Technology.

Chris is committed to the privilege of building the wonderful community and culture of Ambrose Treacy College in partnership with students, staff and parents. His vision for Ambrose Treacy College is that each young man is inspired by the stories of Jesus, Blessed Edmund Rice and Brother Ambrose Treacy and formed by our pillars of learning, leadership and service to become for their families, communities and our world; Signum Fidei, Signs of Faith. Chris has responsibility for identity, educational, community, pastoral and administrative leadership.

Jason Sepetauc, Deputy Principal

For the past 28 years Jason has enjoyed teaching outdoor education, physical education and religious education in a variety of contexts. He has taught and led in a variety of roles in EREA schools across WA, NSW, ACT and QLD. Jason has a Bachelor of Social Science, Graduate Diploma of Education, Graduate Certificate in Religious Education and a Master of Educational Leadership. Most recently, Jason held the position of Dean of Learning and Teaching at St Joseph’s Nudgee College. He has also worked as Acting Deputy Principal at Nudgee, and as both the Acting Deputy Principal and Acting Principal of Ignatius Park College Townsville. Jason will use his deep understanding of schooling in the Edmund Rice tradition to serve the Ambrose Treacy College community.

Liana Baillie, Dean of Learning

Liana has 19 years experience in education with the last eight years in boys’ education. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science Human Movement Studies – Education, and is continuing her studies in Master of Educational Studies – Leadership at the University of Queensland. Liana began her teaching career in outback Queensland and brings leadership experience from both pastoral and academic portfolios in the P-12 and 5-12 colleges of Varsity College, Marist College Ashgrove, and Villanova College. As the Dean of Learning, Liana is committed to students achieving holistic educational outcomes, ensuring their personal best is met with the support and expertise of the ATC staff.

Conor Finn, Dean of Formation

Conor has extensive leadership experience across a range of Edmund Rice schools and holds a Doctorate of Philosophy regarding the interrelationships between leadership, charism and culture. As Dean of Formation, Conor is responsible for all aspects of student formation within the College.

Matthew Warr, Dean of Faith and Mission

Matt has performed in a variety of leadership roles across Edmund Rice Schools and Education Queensland; with further teaching experiences in London and Europe. Matt has a Bachelor degree in Education, a Bachelor of Arts (English/History), and a Masters in Educational Leadership. As Dean of Faith and Mission, Matt’s responsible for promoting and giving life to the identity of the College as a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition.

Deborah Carcary, Dean of Business Operations

Deborah is an experienced company Accountant with a strong business acumen and a working history in diverse areas including Hospital and Health Care, Machinery Dealerships, Construction and Manufacturing and she has a passion for Operations Management and leadership. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA). As Dean of Business Operations, she is responsible for Financial Management, Legal, Compliance, Facilities and Food Services and Aquatics.
