A warm welcome to Term Four which begins on Monday 30 September at 8.30am sharp. There are many exciting events coming up over the next 9 weeks and we urge all parents and caregivers to update their subscriptions on the ATC App to reflect your son's classroom and co-curricular activities. These may have changed since Term 3 and it is important to keep the communication channels up-to-date to assist with your family's scheduling and organisation.
Brisbane Bus Lines Schedule Amendments
Brisbane Bus Lines have made some changes to the bus schedule. Please click on the link below to view the new schedule and familiarize yourself and your son with the new timings. The updated timetable will be effective from Wednesday 2 October (not the first day of term), and include these amended bus stop timings:

Tuckshop Menu Term 4
The new summer menu is available for both Paddy's Place and The Bakehouse via the link HERE. On the ATC App, you can find details regarding Tuckshop purchases, the ATCShop and how to set up your ATCShop account. Students in Years 4 to 7 purchase from Paddy's Place (at the Year 7 Undercroft) and students in Years 8 to 12 purchase from The Bakehouse (in the Westcourt precinct). The Bakehouse is also open for breakfast for all students, from 7.30am and for afternoon tea from 3.00 to 3.30pm Monday to Friday. The tuckshops are cashless and self-service - there is no pre-ordering. Students must have sufficient credit on their ATCShop account (which is linked to their Student ID card) or use a credit/debit card to make a purchase. Students are not permitted to use their mobile phone or smart watch to tap and pay.
Update Personal Details in Parent Lounge
Have you moved house, got a new mobile number, or changed email addresses? Parents and caregivers are reminded to update their contact details and their child’s medical details in Parent Lounge over the September holidays.
School Fees
Term 4 School Fees Statements have been emailed to parents and caregivers over the holidays. If you do not have a direct debit arrangement, your fees are due and payable by Monday 30 September. The College offers a range of options to pay your school fees, and you can find the College Fees Schedule, Payment Authority and Edstart payment plan information on the College https://www.atc.qld.edu.au/enrolments/school-feeshttps://www.atc.qld.edu.au/enr.... Our preferred payment method is BPay, using the Biller Code and Customer Reference (Ref) located at the top right of your Statement of Account. These BPay payments can be made from either your cheque, savings, debit, or credit card account. You can also pay in person at College Reception via Eftpos. Co-curricular Photo Day

FORMATION NEWS
Year 4 Formation
On Friday 4 October as part of our Formation program, Year 4 will explore the topic All About Me - Healthy and Safe. To assist in the delivery of this topic, the College is has acquired the services of Let's Chat Education which will deliver a 70 minute session to each class. It is important that children are given accurate, reliable and appropriate information and skills in a supportive environment, and the home is one of the best places for this education to occur. More information will be shared on the ATC App in the coming weeks.

MS Moonlight Walk at Roma St Parklands
The MS Moonlight Walk with glowing lanterns will be held in Roma Street parklands on Saturday 19 October. Students need to register via the link below using codes as mentioned by Mr Wong. Meet Mr Wong on the day at 5pm at Roma Street Parklands grassy hill near the starting line. Students should wear their ATC sports uniform and we will walk in a school group. Parents are most welcome to tag along with us, or pick boys up at a designated location as arranged by their parents after the walk. The finishing time will be communicated in upcoming correspondence after registration. All funds raised will provide vital care and support to the one million Queenslanders living with a neurological conditions. I have attached some further information for you and the leadership team to better understand the event and the life-changing impact ATC is going to make. There is a great team challenge within the MS Moonlight Walk - the first 4 teams to raise $10,000 will be gifted a catered team retreat at Roma St Parkland. Year 9 Retreat
Year 9 Retreat is a combined event at Brigidine College with Year 9 students from Brigidine College on Thursday 3 October to explore the power of positive relationships and the relevance of 2000 year old Gospel values. It will be a day that challenges students to be examples of Signs of Faith, further preparing them for their role as Senior School students and servant leaders. Due to the size of the Year 9 cohort, we will split the group into 2 separate days. Please be aware that students selected for the AIC Athletics and All Schools Touch teams will attend on Wednesday 2 November even if their regular homeroom class attends on Thursday. Please advise me of your selection through the Faith and Mission email address and I will confirm with the Sports Office. The Retreat will be facilitated by Andrew McCrohon, Head of Service and Clubs, Alana Rose, Head of Year 9 and Adam Knott, Assistant Head of Year 9, along with staff from Brigidine College. Lunch will be provided however students are asked to bring their own morning tea. On the day of the retreat, students are asked to meet at Warril Place at 8:25am for roll marking with their homeroom teacher. The whole cohort will then walk to Brigidine College with ATC staff for the retreat day. The activities will conclude at 2:20pm and students will depart Brigidine College for the return walk to ATC in time for dismissal at 3:00pm. The ATC community is invited to Jazz by the River on Saturday 12 October 2024 at Warril Place from 4pm to 8pm. We will feature our ATC Jazz Orchestra, Big Band, Hot Brass Squad, Jazz Ensemble Blue, Jazz Ensemble Green, ATC Guitars on the river stage. 2024 ARTfest Event & ARTfest Awards and Gala Evening
Join us at the ARTfest Gala Evening on Wednesday 9 October as part of the 2024 ARTery. We are hosting a free Printmaking Workshop from 5pm followed by a showcase of all student artworks in NJ Hall from 6pm to 7pm. Mr Ryan will present the Principal's Art Awards on this special night. Touch Football
Our 13 Years team was named Brisbane All Schools Champions after finishing with a thrilling 8-7 Grand Final win, despite the score being tied at full time! Our 15 Years and 18 Years teams played well against some tough competition and are keen for the AIC comp in Term 4. A special thanks to our coaching staff - Phil Cowie, Matene Downes, Bernard Wong, Dylan Denny, Tom Denny and Tanya Oghanna. You are the A Team when it comes to coaching!
Basketball
Last weekend marked the final stage of our 1st V Basketballers 2024 campaign with the Molten Champion Basketball School of Queensland (CBSQ) competition down at the Gold Coast. In a season that began in Term 2, the boys saw a lot of success and progression both individually and as a squad. Through both victory and loss, the boys represented the College with the utmost respect and should be proud of their efforts. Unfortunately, the squad fell short of their goal but showed great promise and are ready to look towards our 2025 campaign. A special thank you to all seniors who represented ATC Basketball for the last time in their schooling life. Your contributions to the program don’t go unnoticed and we are excited to keep you in the program in the future!

The Term 4 Clubs program will commence across Weeks 1-3 for registered students. Please be sure to double check the Term 4 Clubs Timetable which can be found on the ATC App under the tag for your son's relevant club. We ask students to please arrive on time for their relevant club session, and for caregivers to pick up your child at the designated time.

Dad's Night Out
The ATC P&F are hosting a Dad's Night Out at Lucha Brewing Co on Friday 18 October from 5.30 - 9pm. All dads are welcome. It is a 'pay as you go' event, with great food options available. RSVP Here via the online form as this is a boutique brew house and numbers are limited.
ATC Ladies Spring Lunch FINAL CALL!
The event was sold out, but Cloudland have released a further 30 tickets to us for the annual Spring Lunch in support of Breast Cancer Awareness campaign so why not join the ATC P&F to celebrate with friends on Friday 25 October from 11.30am to 2.30pm at The Rose Room, Cloud Land, 641 Ann St, Fortitude Valley.
