2024 Japan Tour
Our Japan Tour group have had an amazing week! Here are some of the highlights of their trip so far.
At the Kaiyuukan and Tempozan Harbour Village, they enjoyed a spectacular view of Osaka from the Ferris Wheel, finishing up with a nice dinner out! Their second day was a visit and tour to Himeji Castle and a night out at Dotonbori, Osaka.
They visited Nara where they encountered deer and saw the largest wooden structure, Todaiji Temple, back to Kobe for dinner at World Buffet (All you can eat) OISHII! Next was a trip to Kyoto's stunning Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion. They felt like they stepped back in time mingling with ninjas at Eigamura. Dinner was from Sumiyoshi Station's supermarket. Hiroshima Peace Park and Peace Museum were next on their itinerary, followed by an authentic lunch Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. The highlight was riding the bullet train, with ekiben dinner making the journey even more special.
They're not done yet but the Highlight of the week so far might have just been the epic trip to Universal Studios Osaka. Immersing themselves in thrilling rides and blockbuster attractions. From heart-pounding roller coasters to magical-themed lands, every moment was filled with excitement and adventure. It was a day they'll never forget!

Gratitude
Our end of Term 2 liturgy focused on the virtue of gratitude. As a characteristic in our COURAGE framework, all in our community are encouraged to express their thanks and appreciation to those around them. Our Year 12 student leaders led by example as they shared stories and memories of their 9 years at the College. Many of these memories involved wonderful connections and relationships they had built with staff. The students identified selected staff as being ‘A Face of Jesus’ for them in their journey. It was wonderful to see our young men articulate their gratitude. The sense of unity and connection was very present.
MUSIC
