On the Road to Academic Excellence

We were honoured to welcome back the recipients of the Br Patrick Ambrose Treacy Medal recipients for 2024 at our recent Academic Assembly. This award is granted to students who achieved an ATAR of 95 or above, placing them in the top 5% of the State. 13.4% of our ATAR eligible Students achieved this result last year. We celebrate and acknowledge the tremendous achievements of: Jonathan Chai, Jacob Cheung, Nicholas Childs, James Collins, Adam Keymer, Declan Lever, Patrick Muller, Michael Neumann, Nathan Perrier, Minh Pham, Caelan Quilter, Lachlan Roberts, Elliot Smart, William Temby, and Tyson Waugh.

We also had five Students who received a QCAA Certificate of Academic Commendation Award which is recognises achieving 6 A’s in their General subjects. Jacob Cheung, James Collins, Adam Keymer, Declan Lever, and Michael Neumann.

ATC is a place of inclusivity and opportunity and excellence in learning and it was with great pride that we recognised our 2024 Year 12 Subject Dux Award winners across all subjects studied. These students reached their full potential and personal best in their chosen subjects and pathway at ATC. Congratulations to: Jack Ewart, Minh Pham, Hugh Formby, Nate Donaldson, Nathan Perrier, Dashiell Solomon, Declan Lever, Gianni Coe, Jarrah Clarke-Hooper, Patrick Muller, Joshua Kelly, Joshua Bassett, Harlen Taylor, Hudson Shine, Macsen Cunninghame, Hugh Formby, Michael Neumann, Nicholas Childs, Lennon Stokes, and Jacob Cheung.

Across the disciplines of business, construction, hospitality and fitness, 118 VET qualifications were awarded to Year 12 students. We also had 14 students complete a School based apprenticeship or traineeship and 55 students complete a Diploma in Business. It was with much pleasure that we presented the Most Outstanding Vocational Educational and Training awardees - Sean Reid Certificate I Building and Construction; Aidan Brennan Certificate II in Hospitality Student; Tate Matthews Certificate III in Business; Hugo Porche Certificate III in Fitness Student.

It was also with great pleasure that we awarded our Proxime Accessit to Declan Lever who worked incredibly hard to achieve an ATAR of 99.60 while also managing the responsibilities of College Captain.

It was wonderful to present our 2024 College Dux Jacob Cheung with his trophies and medals. Jacob achieved an ATAR of 99.75 placing him in the top 1% of the State! Jacob showed great dedication to his studies and shared his story with the audience, encouraging boys to remain focused on their goals and be prepared to make sacrifices to achieve their dreams.
