Paving the Way

Our Year 12 students finished their classes last Wednesday and true to their 2023 Senior motto, they continued to  Pave the Way  with some fun, respect and positivity. We are delighted with and proud of how they transitioned through this exciting time and into preparation for their external exams. We wish all of Year 12 every success and look forward to supporting them as best as we can in the coming weeks. It was great to see them over breakfast this morning, before their English exam. Thank you to our Year 10 parents and caregivers who kindly supported the breakfast through the P&F Gratitude Initiative.

Walk for Brain Cancer

A large group of Junior School families participated in the Walk4BrainCancer event yesterday, walking 5 kilometres to raise awareness and funds for brain cancer research. I was pleased to hear they exceeded their goal and raised a total of $5689 which will help fund innovative and life-saving research projects.

St Vincent de Formal

The annual Year 10 St Vincent de Formal will be held in partnership with Brigidine College this Thursday. This enjoyable event is a part of a suite of opportunities we are gradually expanding for our our students to mix and socialise with young women. This innovative and fun occasion see our schools combine in contributing to the wonderful Catholic organisation, St Vincent de Paul which supports people in need, wear some creative “formal” outfits, meet each other, play some games, and enjoy themselves. Thank you to our Faith and Mission Team and the staff who support this great event.

Volleyball and Touch Football

Our Year 7 and Year 8 teams competed in the Queensland Volleyball Schools Cup on the weekend as did our Touch Football teams from Junior through to Senior School in the AIC invitational carnival. Congratulations to all students involved and thank you to staff and parents for your support.

Community Prayers

Lord, we pray for those in our community who are suffering. Be with them in this time of hardship and uncertainty. Give comfort and peace to those who have lost loved ones. May their sorrow be turned into strength, and their distress turned into peace. May our hearts remain loving and pure as we seek to always be compassionate to those around us.

God Bless,

Chris Ryan
