A happy and Holy Easter to all in the Ambrose Treacy College community as we prepare for the three most sacred days of the Christian calendar in Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. Thank you to all in the community for your support inside and outside of the classroom and across all of the activities and events of the term. The cool change has been most welcome over the weekend, and I wish everyone a joy filled and relaxing Easter break.
Easter Sunday is the Holiest day of the Christian life, and it is a day of profound joy, victory and hope. The mystery of Jesus defeating death and rising again is at the very centre of the Christian faith and we are called to be Easter people every day of our lives who recognise the face of Jesus in each other. Blessed Edmund Rice saw the face of Jesus present and appealing to him in the faces of the suffering and poor children of Waterford Ireland and even though he was afraid and uncertain of what to do with his life, he was struck and inspired as were the terrified disciples who recognised the traveller as Jesus when they reached Emmaus and He broke bread with them.
This Easter, let us all break bread with our loved ones and strangers in the hope of recognising Jesus in each other.

Community Prayers
Lord, we pray for those in our community who are suffering. Be with them in this time of hardship and uncertainty. Give comfort and peace to those who have lost loved ones. May their sorrow be turned into strength, and their distress turned into peace. May our hearts remain loving and pure as we seek to always be compassionate to those around us.
God Bless.
Chris Ryan, College Principal
