The Clontarf Foundation was established in 2000 in a Perth school with just 25 students. Fast forward 20 years and they are now based in 132 schools and 119 academies based in Queensland, the Northern Territory, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia, with over 8,000 young men enrolled in our program.
Our journey has only just begun at ATC with more than 45 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in the program. Clontarf is equipped with a great space to facilitate a program which includes a kitchen, outdoor entertainment area, chill out lounge space for the Senior students, learning and office space and a table tennis table which is the most popular area in the room!
Clontarf classes operate across all year levels in a timely manner. Classes are a valuable time for us to continue to build our relationships with each student but also to empower our young men through our delivery of workshops which include goal setting, community service, cooking, sport, team building activities, self-refection, mindfulness and career pathways.
We look forward to working closely with the young men in our program and their families throughout the year and beyond.
