At Ambrose Treacy College we aim to include all members of our community in quality sporting opportunities that promote enjoyment, life-long engagement and achievement. Each student is able to foster their own love of sport at the level and in the context that they choose.
Age and Stage Relevant Opportunities
Introductory
All ATC students are given the opportunity to learn the basic skills and concepts of different sports, with the intention of inspiring interest and continued involvement.
Internal
Internal opportunities are those that are focused predominantly on participation. While there are competitive elements to these activities, the emphasis is on personal development, enjoyment and being physically active with fellow ATC students.
External
ATC students are provided with competitive sporting experiences through seasons, tournaments, and tours. Queensland School Sport representative pathways are facilitated and supported for students through the Northern Eagles District, and Metropolitan West Regional Programs.
Life-long Engagement – Pathways beyond ATC
ATC recognises the value in sustained involvement in sport beyond school. We aim to provide a variety of authentic experiences that supports them in their journey into adulthood.
The ATC Sport Program has a strong focus on life-long engagement for students through playing, coaching, officiating, managing, and/or coordinating opportunities.
ATC offers a wide range of sporting opportunities.
